OCCASIONED BY SEEING A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY AT CHURCH,
Whilst Paul preach'd of works and grace,
My eyes were fix'd on Delia's  face;
Delia was handsome, young and fair,
To her I offer'd up my prayer.
. . . [8 more lines]
ON HEARING A YOUNG LADY SAY "SHE WAS LOST IN THOUGHT"
"I'm lost in thought" did Delia say?
Happy the youth who'ere shall stray
In the same path, for he shall meet
Beauty, virtue, wisdom, wit.
